Launched in August 2015, Performetric is a real-time monitoring system that allows the management of mental fatigue in a non-invasive way. Performetric aims to develop leisure and work context-aware environments that may improve quality of life, wellness, mental health and individual performance. Moreover, it also aims to support a better management of the employees and their work time. This translates into a positive impact in the organization’s productivity and an increased quality of life and better health of the employees.

André is an entrepreneur and engineer whose mission is to leverage technology in favor of man through the use of Artificial Intelligence to improve the quality of life. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence field from the University of Minho.

Miguel is a software engineer who loves learning new front-end technologies, and is always concerned about the best Human Computer Interaction. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Informatics Engineering from the University of Minho.

Pedro Duarte, specializing in Machine Learning, dedicated his last years to the study and research on artificial intelligence and language processing. Due to his interest in sports, he is focusing his knowledge in the area of e-sports to find improvements in the performance of the athletes.
José is our new software developer. He is just starting his career but is eager to learn the new front-end technologies. He likes to be challenged and doesn't stop until a problem is solved. Currently finishing his master's degree in Informatics Engineering in University of Minho.
Davide is a Professor and Researcher at the University of Minho and at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. His research goal is to design Intelligent Environments supported by intelligent Human-Computer Interaction.
Paulo Novais is an Associate Professor with Habilitation of Computer Science at the University of Minho and a researcher at the ALGORITMI Centre. His main research aim is to make systems a little smarter, intelligent and also reliable.
Dr. Fletcher has spent more than 20 years researching and consulting to industry on Fatigue Management. This work has had him travel to operational environments all around the world, in Aviation, Mining, Oil & Gas, Transport, Military, Office and other sectors.
Gonçalo is the General Manager for Hovione Capital and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry, in R&D, sales and IP valuation and strategy roles. Holds an MBA from LisbonMBA Católica/Nova/MIT-Sloan Business School and a PhD in Biochemistry.
James C. Miller is a consulting scientist who retired from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. He has accumulated 40+ years of applied research and development concerning human cognitive performance and fatigue.
Mary Czerwinski is a Research Manager of the Visualization and Interaction (VIBE) Research Group at Microsoft. Her background is in emotion tracking and awareness, visual attention and multitasking. She holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology.

The first steps were taken at the University of Minho where we embarked on a mission to utilize technology to enhance human life with a focus on fatigue. After years of scientific research, we discovered a non-invasive and accurate way to reduce and manage mental fatigue.
Participation in Startup Braga provided a platform to officially launch Performetric as a company. Through the program and its resources, we honed down various business aspects of the company.
With an excellent team and an ambitious project, we secured financial support from Hovione Capital and eggNEST. With the funding and support from both organizations, we successfully turned our prototype into a more robust product.
On June 1, Performetric was one of 23 companies selected to participate in the World Cup Tech Challenge. Performetric was a semi-finalist in the AI/Robotics Category. The event held at Microsoft’s campus serves to feature and introduce innovative companies from around the world to the Silicon Valley Ecosystem.
On April 25, Performetric was announced as one of Talkdesk's launch partners for AppConnect, the first enterprise app store. Talkdesk, the world’s leading cloud-based contact center started to offer the Performetric solution for all clients with just one click.
